University of Plymouth challenge days

We have been able to secure two dates for a school trip to the University of Plymouth. The children will enjoy a day being taught at the University by specialist trainee teachers. Further information about the groups of children we will be taking will be given shortly via e-mail to Head Teachers.

Maths Intervention Sub Committee (MISC) Intervention Programme

A group of math coordinators from the MAT (MISC) are working together to provide an 11 week enrichment programme for a group of 19 pupils from across 5 schools. The children will be visiting different schools every week for 11 weeks to be taught by the maths co-ordinator. This programme has been highly successful in previous years, 67% of the pupils achieved the expected standard in their Year 6 SATs last year. This group runs annually, e-mails will be sent to all maths co-ordinators at the beginning of the new academic year.

Maths Co-ordinator Meetings

We have been very fortunate to secure funding for maths co-ordinator meetings for our MAT. Helen Edginton from Babcock will be leading one meeting per term which will be aimed at keeping our MAT updated with national messages and maths updates. All maths co-ordinators from the MAT are invited. The dates for the meetings are Friday 18th January, Thursday 14th March and Thursday 27th June.
